Nokia Starts Shipping N77 Cell Phone

According to its press release (link below), Nokia has started shipping its N77 cell phone in Finland. This will be followed by Vietnam and India later this month. As for the other countries, as long as a DVB-H technology exists, the phone will soon make its way there. Incase you didn’t know yet, DVB-H (or Digital Video Broadcast - Handheld) is the handset’s biggest selling point. It lets users enjoy commercial satellite broadcasted TV programme on the go.
“The Nokia N77 takes TV out of the living room,” said Jonas Geust, head of Nokia Nseries Players Category, Multimedia, Nokia. “The wide 2.4″ flat screen and high quality stereo sound makes it the ideal personal mobile device for enjoying TV programs on the go.”

Other features include a 2.4-inch widescreen display, a 2MP camera module, a 20MB internal memory, a microSD media card slot, Bluetooth connectivity, and FM radio tuner. It runs on Symbian S60 3rd Edition platform and supports GSM/EDGE/GPRS/UMTS network.

On a side note, Nokia will officially launch E90 Communicator, the next-generation of its Communicator series phone, in Jakarta tomorrow. Folks over at Symbian-Freak are lucky to get a VIP invitation from the company. And that makes me drooling…
